CTA@Boston and the CENE

What is the Canadian Technology Accelerator?

The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) initiative was developed to provide Canadian companies with access to in-market entrepreneurial resources and contacts that can help them grow and compete internationally. It is managed by the Consulate General of Canada with close partnership with the CENE.

The CTA experience is a four month residency for one to two executives from a Canadian company. It is ideal for small, fast growing companies interested in establishing a presence in the market, pursuing venture capital, seeking strategic partnerships or acquiring new customers/clients. While at the CTA, companies are immersed in an entrepreneurial ecosystem that helps generate rapid growth and new ideas. Participants benefit from a culture of collaboration, open innovation and entrepreneurial inspiration cultivated among companies in the accelerator and surrounding ecosystem.

How does the CENE help companies at the CTA@Boston?

CENE members leverage their collective experience, expertise and relationships to mentor CTA participants and connect them into the Boston ecosystem.  Recognizing the current challenges in the Canadian venture capital industry, the CENE aims to harness the energy and expertise of a professional network of accomplished Canadian expatriates in the U.S.   These individuals share a passion for their Canadian heritage and a desire to give back to Canada.
